Spring is the best season to discover the most beautiful waterfalls in the Mt Washington Valley. This winter’s record snowfalls are sure to have mountain rivers flowing, and our Ragged Mountain adventure travel crew is ready to help you explore Northern New Hampshire’s best kept secrets.
Check-in to Cranmore Mountain Lodge on Friday night and rest up for your big weekend. After a hearty breakfast on Saturday morning, you will meet a professional guide at the Ragged Mountain Equipment Store at 10 am and go over your gear and the day’s trip. Then quickly grab your wet weather gear and you’ll be off on a water fall expedition.
After the four or five hour hike, you can unwind in the hot tub or relax in one of the cozy reading rooms. Enjoy dinner at one of the many local eateries ; your guides as well as your hosts at Cranmore Mountain Lodge are sure to give you great suggestions.
Sunday is for relaxing and some shopping before you go back home.
These trips include two nights’ lodging, one full day professionally guided hike, snacks for the hike and breakfast each morning. They are designed to get everyone out enjoying the Spring weather. If there is now on the ground, you’ll hike with snowshoes. It’s perfect for couples, groups of friends and families with children 12 or older. The difficulty of the trip will be matched to group ability, weather and trail conditions. Private dates are available upon request.

2009 Dates and cost
- May 1st to 3rd, 2009 (hike on the 2nd)
- May 29th to 31st, 2009 (hike on the 30th)
- June 5th to 7th, 2009 (hike on the 6th)
Standard private room*, double occupancy: $327, tax included, for two persons
Standard private room*, single occupancy: $295, tax included, for one person
Add $10/night + tax for a package in a Deluxe Room (King size bed or jacuzzi room)
Add $30/night + tax for a package in a one-bedroom suite for two
Private hike can be arranged any day of the week for $150 for up to 4 persons (guiding rate only)
OPTIONAL GLUTEN FREE MEALS:
If you are suffering from Celiac disease or are gluten intolerant, we propose you to add 2 gluten free dinners at Rafferty’s (Friday & Saturday nights) and 1 gluten free packed lunch and snack per person for an additional fee of $90/person.
Group size
4-10 people – This package is perfect for couples, groups of friends and families with children 12 or older. Family programs available upon request.
If there are 3 or less people participating to the trip, we’ll charge an additional fee of $40 per person.
What do you need to pack?
Small daypack, two water bottles, wind/rain jacket, warm hat, light gloves, hiking boots, fleece pullover, hiking poles (optional). Should you miss some clothing or forget to bring something, you will find everything you need at Ragged Mountain equipment Store where you’ll meet your guide!
